IPCC acknowledges Dr. M. Asaduzzaman's role in

Nobel Peace Prize

IPCC, the International Organization that was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize 2007, has formally acknowledged the contribution of Dr. M. Asaduzzaman, Research Director of BIDS. Dr. M. Asaduzzaman was a lead author of the chapter on Response Strategies for the Second Assessment Report of the IPCC and a reviewer of several of the subsequent IPCC reports. His contribution has been acknowledged formally by the IPCC as substantial to IPCC being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize of 2007. It may be noted that the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize was jointly awarded to Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and to Mr. Al Gore, the former Vice President, USA.
