(a) The Bangladesh Development Studies (BDS)
The Bangladesh Development Studies (BDS) is the quarterly journal of the institute. This is published in English. It enjoys international reputation and is currently in its 34th year of publication. It contains research articles, notes, and book reviews. BIDS researchers as well as national and international scholars contribute to the journal. Occasionally, special issues of The Bangladesh Development Studies are published. To date, 12 special issues of BDS have been published and several others are in the pipeline.
(b) The Bangladesh Unnayan Samikkhaya (BUS)
The journal, Bangladesh Unnayan Samikkhaya (BUS), is published annually in the vernaculars. It contains articles, notes and book reviews. It is widely read not only by students and researchers, but also by people of different walks of life who are interested in development issues of Bangladesh.
Books
BIDS research works on specific themes and/or selected issues are occasionally published in the form of books.
Research Monographs
Research Monographs are published in book form, and focus on some particular area of study undertaken by the Institute. To date, 21 Research Monographs have been published.
Research Reports
Research Reports are papers based on current research and are often a part of, or leading to, a larger study. To date, 180 Research Reports have been published.
Project Reports
Project reports, published by BIDS, contain the findings of research projects pursued by the institution.
Working Papers
The working paper series are of two types: BIDS working paper new series and project working paper (newly initiated).
